Over the last couple of years I find myself becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Beyonce. I didn’t start out as a fan when she was in Destiny’s Child, or even when she first went solo, but I am in awe now of her amazing talent as a singer and performer and often moved by some truly selfless and charitable kindnesses she showers on others. Try watching her sing Halo in Australia to a little girl with cancer and not cry. I dare you. So when I was told about a Los Angeles singer/songwriter named LP doing an unbelievable cover of Halo, I was completely blown away by the way this woman made it her own. Her voice at first is unexpected, but what she is able to do with it is nothing short of magical. Watch for yourselves. But whatever you do, don’t miss the last few moments of her performance. One word: sublime.
These innovative iPhone / iPod chargers blew our minds and captured our hearts. Designed and constructed in Santa Barbara, they are made using vintage cameras. Come and get yours, they disappear in a flash (sorry, couldn’t resist). And no cameras are harmed in the process; only great-looking, non-functioning cameras are used.
Here are a couple of camera themed tunes for you: Bishop Allen’s Click, Click, Click and Spoon’s I Turn My Camera On. Oldies, but as always, goodies.
