PLUM ARTISTS
Plum Goods is proud to showcase a variety of talented artists every day, as well as host a featured artist reception during First Thursday, a cultural event that takes place on the first Thursday of every month from 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Santa Barbara. The following artists’ work is currently available at Plum Goods.

Lisa Occhipinti
We are thrilled to have the incredibly talented and lovely Lisa Occhipinti at Plum Goods. An artist, photographer and author, she creates elegant works that merge altered photographs and book pages with original illustrations. She is also well-known for her distinct book-art sculptures that embrace the physical form of the book as well as the words within. In addition she wrote and illustrated The Repurposed Library, a book on the subject of transforming vintage books into new forms. With a BA in fine art, Lisa has studied in Europe with Parsons School of Design and the School of Visual Arts and her work has garnered much press both nationally and internationally. Lisa’s artwork is in private and corporate collections worldwide and now available at Plum Goods. Watch Lisa create.

Julika Lackner
Plum Goods is excited to carry the luminous work of Julika Lackner. Her acclaimed “Afloat” series explores how natural elements like night sky, clouds and fog make what we see invisible, yet visible in a new form. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Art Studio and an MFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She is thrilled to be garnering acclaim and an expanding sea of clients with each exhibition. Originally from Germany, Julika now lives and works in Los Angeles.

Benjamin Anderson
Plum Goods is proud to be carrying the über-talented artist Benjamin Anderson. Based in Santa Barbara, Anderson has been creating monumental oil paintings since 2002 and his high-impact pieces have earned him a loyal following. Portraits are one of Ben’s passions, with an emphasis on honest, evocative representations. He is available to work on commission and has had exhibitions at a variety of galleries and museums.

Rod Lathim
Plum Goods is proud to feature a collection of assemblage pieces from artist Rod Lathim. A fifth generation Santa Barbaran, his life and career have always revolved around the arts, from writing, directing and acting to photography and assemblage. His evocative work reflects his love of story-telling and his life-long passion for visual arts.

Jennifer Boswell
Plum Goods is proud to present local artist Jennifer Boswell. Jennifer has been painting in oils on the Central Coast for the last thirteen years, and Santa Barbara landscapes continue to inspire her contemporary impressionistic work. Her art regimen includes the study of great artists, a combination of faith and perseverance and painting miles and miles of canvas.

Tami Snow
Plum Goods is thrilled to feature artist Tami Snow. Snow’s work is defined by a confident use of line, color and form, expressing a sense of optimism that is paramount to the spirit of the art and the artist. Everyday life is represented in a range of multi-media techniques to create accessible, innovative, affordable pieces at home in every environment.

Melissa Mahoney
Plum Goods is proud to feature local artist Melissa Mahoney. After growing up in a family of artists, she went on to earn her BFA at the University of Georgia and complete graduate work in Cortona, Italy. Now living and creating in Santa Barbara, her current works on raw linen are inspired by vortices and the powerful currents they generate. Each piece is intended to convey a sense of motion and to reveal the evidence of the human hand behind its creation. Some are studies of Enso, the Japanese symbol representing strength, enlightenment and the void. All possess sophisticated texture, dimension and color composition.

Matti Berglund
Born in Oslo, Norway, Matti was educated at the University of Denver in Colorado where she received her BFA. Her vibrant paintings have an organically spiritual quality and unique appeal due to her use of symbols and elements of folk art that were introduced to her as a child in Norway. Matti has shown her work internationally and has collectors worldwide.
